Toby Rampelt Sews 600 Masks

Toby Rampelt just made her 600th cloth mask to keep people safe from COVID-19. She gives the masks to anyone in need and has a basket on her front porch. 150 masks were donated to the employees at the James Cancer Hospital for personal use away from work. Toby also gave 46 masks for the Short North Rotary meals on wheels food distribution.

Each mask has a double cloth layer for added safety, is washable, and takes about 20 minutes to sew. That means she sewed for 200 hours to make the 600 masks. The masks come in two adult and children's sizes. Toby said, "This is something I can do for others in this time of need."  Toby asks nothing in return for the masks and has received a collection of touching thank you cards. This project embodies service above self.
